Daisy's regular nurse is on vacation this week so here is a picture of Daisy meeting her "new" nurse:
This is just too sweet. I don't have the name of her new nurse yet but I do have an update from Dr. Warry: Daisy's platelet counts are up to 5,000, her neutrophils up to 1,400 and her total red blood count continues to rise. Daisy is on track to come home this weekend! Hang in there Daisy and know that you are loved.

Hi Doreen: I am so happy to hear that Daisy is doing well. I was with one of the groups that you met on Saturday at the Race. My friends doggy was named "Puppie" I am almost sure that you will remember us. I love the video. We are a group that work together and we have been following Daisy's updates. Wishing you all the luck. Blessings, Irene, Barbie, Priscilla and Puppie.
ReplyDeleteHi Irene!! Of course I remember ALL of you..... Barbie, Priscilla and of course Puppie!! He was such a trooper that day! I'm glad you loved the video. Thank you for running Puppie that day! I thought it was important to highlight the dogs who were in the race supporting this cause....didn't they just add to the wonderful spirit of the day? I would have ran the race with Daisy had she not been at NCSU.....but she was there in spirit and she loved every minute of it I'm sure! Maybe I will see all of you at the next 5k canine cancer run that comes to town? Hopefully by that time Daisy will be medically cleared to run it. Take care you are a very special group of people.
